Importing a Software Token for Your iPhone from an Email Attachment

Before you can import a software token for your iPhone, you must install the SecurID software. For details, see Installing the RSA SecurID Software on Your iPhone from the App Store or Installing the RSA SecurID Software on Your iPhone by Syncing with Your Computer.

For general information on setting up RSA SecurID software tokens, see Setting Up a SecurID Soft Token on Your iPhone.

Note: Importing a token from an email attachment is supported for iPhones running iOS 4.0 or higher.

  1. Open the e-mail sent to you with the attached token file.

  1. Select and open the attached file. When prompted, open the attachment in RSA SecurID, as shown below.

  1. If prompted, use the device keyboard to enter the token password (provided in the e-mail) into the Enter Password field, and tap OK.

The token is installed, and the application starts.

  1. Delete the e-mail containing the token file attachment and password.
